Tendências vêm e vão até mesmo na música Metal. Esses últimos dias recebemos algumas músicas do Old School Extreme Metal por aqui. Parece que as crianças ainda estão no sangue por alguma música Old School Extreme Metal. Ou veteranos ainda estão vivos e chutando. Ou mesmo ambos. Eu acho que o Torturizer é um pouco dos dois, já que a banda foi fundada em 2011 e está ativa desde então com algumas paradas e idas. Os caras realmente sabem como manter vivo o espírito do Extreme Metal dos anos 80. O verdadeiro espírito significa tudo para o Metal e você sabe disso, meu querido filho da noite.
Embora eu não goste de fazer resenhas de EPs com poucas faixas – “Dissect” tem apenas quatro faixas com menos de quinze minutos. de audição – seu conteúdo me pegou pelas entranhas. O álbum é forte e cativante – no bom sentido, claro – com uma produção extremamente limpa e íntegro onde todos os instrumentos podem ser ouvidos sem esforço. Isso é sempre ótimo porque acho que às vezes uma produção limpa apenas destaca a musicalidade. Neste caso muito específico de “Dissect” a produção limpa é claramente uma vantagem – sem trocadilhos. Quer dizer, eu valorizo muito ser possível ouvir os solos de guitarra perfeitamente. Outra característica interessante do álbum são os gritos de guerra como em “Masked”pelo qual me apaixonei instantaneamente. Eu diria que a música aqui é uma espécie de Death/Thrash Metal cujos instrumentais são uma espécie de híbridos e os vocais são ásperos do Death Metal. Bem, quero dizer que algumas faixas são híbridas, outras como a faixa título “Dissect” se encaixam perfeitamente na dobra do Thrash. Aliás, a melhor faixa do álbum se me permitem dizer. Forte, cativante, pesado e malévolo. Ah, a capa do EP é puramente inspirada no Canibal Corpse, não é?
Death e Thrash Metal estão um pouco ligados na longa e gloriosa história da música Metal. Em algum lugar no agora longo e distante passado, ambos se juntaram e se separaram. Nem sempre separados, pois bandas como Torturizer nos lembram disso o tempo todo. De vez em quando há alguns híbridos. Esta é a tendência que vem e vai como eu disse antes. Mais uma vez, um destaque especial para a produção deste EP. É simplesmente fantástico.
